It was the night of mine and my wife’s 4-year wedding anniversary. Both of our cars had been repossessed the week before right out of our clinic’s parking lot as we watched helplessly. The month before that we had to move into the basement of my mother-in-law’s house because we could no longer pay our mortgage. And now…

Here me and my wife were on the night of our anniversary anxiously pacing around waiting, hoping, praying this one cash-paying patient would show up for his appointment so I would have the $35 I needed to take my wife out to this crappy “all you can eat” Chinese food buffet to “celebrate”.

Totally pathetic. I couldn’t have felt like more of a failure. And then…

It happened.

Instead of using the typical “image”-type ads talking about myself and chiropractic, I learned how to use ads that were more like PSA’s (Public Service Announcements). What I call Consumer Awareness ads.

These ads positioned me the way I really needed to be seen by potential new patients – as an unbiased, trusted resource they could turn to for honest answers. Not just another doctor promoting themselves and their clinic.

And by doing the exact opposite of what everyone else was doing my practice exploded and my life changed forever.

I was finally able to fill my office with the exact types of new patients I wanted and have the lifestyle I always dreamed about when I was in chiropractic school!

Listen, I’m just like you. I think it’s very important for you to know that. I was just lucky enough that at a critical time in my life I finally learned the right way to market my practice.
